A few scary images of the head of the New American Socialist party and his chief witch.
And you thought the liberal Democrats were against prayer? Ha! Reid is praying to almighty Obama to save thier wretched 1900 page monster of a bill designed to bring about the downfall of America.

Mark Steyn gets it right on regarding the cap and tax scheme:
"In the name of “the environment,” the state gets to regulate everything you do. The cap-and-trade bill recently passed by the U.S. House of Representatives, for example, is a bold assault on property rights: in order to sell your home—whether built in 2006 or 1772—you would have to bring it into compliance with whimsical, eternally evolving national “energy efficiency” standards, starting with a 50 per cent reduction in energy use by 2018. Fail to do so and it would be illegal for you to enter into a private contract with a willing buyer."
Sure, that will help reduce "carbon emmissions".....and kill the prospect of private home ownership forever! Just what the elites want. Democrats (read liberals) really don't wan't the average person to be able to afford a house. They want the impression that they can to keep an idea of the "American Dream" alive for another generation. As long as they can squeeze more taxes from the middle to pay for those bleeding heart programs so inefficiently run by government for the poor (designed that way to keep the poor poor while keeping the middle class from rising), the elites will be able to maintain their cozy carbon laden footprints ahile mandateing everyone reduce their standard of living. Quite simply: Greed on a Grand Scale!
"“The environment” is the most ingenious cover story for Big Government ever devised. You float a rumour that George W. Bush is checking up on what library books you’re reading, and everyone goes bananas. But announce that a government monitoring device has been placed in every citizen’s trash can in the cause of “saving the planet,” and the world loves you."
The whole article is well written regarding the concept of "saving the planet" for us or for our children is nothing more than a very well disguised political power grab on a world level by an elite oligarchy that would contriol everyone else while being able freely live against the rules they have set up to restrict all of the world's societies.

"Zero Tolerance" is a peculiarly liberal response to a basic lack of enforcement of rules. Since enforcement based on subtleties is complicated, it seems much easier to make the rule "zero tolerance" to avoid having to actually study the context of the infraction and make a decision based on that context. I say it is 'liberal' in the sense that rarely does a conservative thinker feel the need to reduce rules and law to zero tolerance. True there are specific situations that zero tolerance works, but to apply it to increasingly specific areas of society is really making a targeted law that skirts the essence of the rule of law.
By having zero tolerance of any minute infraction more innocent than guilty are caught into the net. expanded far enough, society will have zero tolerance for anything, good or bad since what is good to one person can be argued as bad by another.
Smoking in public is one area where the zero tolerance is creeping in. 30 years ago, there were smoking and non-smoking sections of restaurants, today (in California) there is no smoking allowed at all in restaurants (bars are excluded), work places, malls.
The example, of the child bring an ordinary table knife to school and being suspended, I cited earlier has many copies. The aim was to reduce gang violence in public schools by making it a serious violation of school policy. To enforce the policy of zero tolerance, every child is searched before entering the school grounds (especially noted by metal detectors at numerous junior and senior high schools). As a result our schools resemble high security prisons rather than institutions of education.
Several years ago, the Transportation Security Agency (TSA) had a zero tolerance policy for any thing with a blade (scissors, knives, fingernail clippers etc) and would immediately confiscate the item. I recall at one airport numerous nail clippers being confiscated. less than fifty feet away at the first in-terminal store I could see that nail clippers could be purchased. The exact same item that was being confiscated at the security checkpoint! It was truly ridiculous!

Dear Mr. President,
We strongly support your commitment to comprehensive health reform.
This is not a luxury. The continuing, sharp escalation of health care costs for families, businesses, and government is unsustainable. Reform is imperative.
We believe that health reform must be enacted this year.
Reform is needed to help America’s families struggling with rising costs and those who are losing their insurance. At the same time, real health reform is crucial to keeping American businesses competitive in the world economy and for the country’s long-term economic viability. As our country faces economic challenges, the time for reform is now.
We support health reform that follows these principles:
- Protect families’ financial health
- Assure affordable, quality health coverage for all Americans
- Provide portability of coverage
- Guarantee choice of doctors
- Invest in prevention and wellness
- Improve patient safety and quality of care
- End barriers to coverage for people with pre-existing medical conditions
- Reduce long-term growth of health costs for businesses and government
During these extraordinarily challenging times, we need to put aside past differences and address the health and economic crisis. Our shared interest must come before narrow interests so we can achieve a health system that is affordable and provides high quality for all Americans. We will support your budget with its reserve fund dedicated to achieving health care reform in a fiscally responsible manner. Each of us must be prepared to contribute to achieving this fundamental goal.
By signing this statement we affirm our commitment to work with you and our Congressional leaders to enact legislation this year which provides affordable, high quality coverage for all Americans.
After that little bit of propoganda, lets dissect what they are saying..."We believe that health reform must be enacted this year."
If we don't pass it this year, we won't be able to because of crumbling support for this flawed legislation and loss of necessary Democrat votes to ram this legislation through.
"We will support your budget with its reserve fund dedicated to achieving health care reform in a fiscally responsible manner. Each of us must be prepared to contribute to achieving this fundamental goal."
We are willing to bankrupt America in order to satisfy the lust for power within the Democrat Party and its ever glorified leader, Obama. There is no "reserve fund"! They are talking about a reserve manufactured from creating more debt and killing Medicare. Further, unstated is the simple fact that the numbers thrown about have been deliberatly lowballed to keep them below $9 Billion. Harry Reid actually spoke the truth last week when he casually stated that Obamacare would COST around $2 Trillion dollars.
