Frustraitions with online banking

A few thoughts on the changes at Kinecta

The new site is working more often than before, but it is still frustrating to see;

"This service is temporarily unavailable. Please contact Customer Support if this problem persists."

on the Credit Card page so often. It used to be only once a month during the billing cycle, now it seems to be every week!

It is disappointing, having been a member since 1993, before the name change. I had specifically changed my banking to Hughes to get away from the far worse Bank of America. This latest bit of frustration is making me re-think whether to keep Hughes, now Kinecta, as my primary financial institution.

Shareholder loyalty is a two way street.

I chose to do the online banking because it offered so much.
Finances became much easier to manage.
Lately it has become the source of concern, when critical payments are due and service isn't available.
I opted out of "electronic statements only" because of the uncertainty of the availability of the website. (I have done this for my other online credit union accounts for exactly the same reason).
Also, I am told "electronic statements will "save the planet". Will it save my financial pocket book if I can't access the statement? Saving the planet is nice, but at the expense of my financial security, no.
I like Kinecta, but have been growing frustrated with what seems to be a corporate desire to be like a large bank rather than a Credit Union, serving the shareholders.

I hope the website issues can be fixed soon.

Merry Christmas from the outgoing Democrats

Ooops, modern liberal Democrats don't say Merry Christmas anymore since that phrase is "politically incorrect". Fortunately conservatives still do!

The lame duck Democrat's parting gifts were more bloated, pork laden legislation that effectively seals the fate of our country. While it was nice of the Dem's to pass the (limited) extension of the Bush tax cuts, they foiled growth by extending unemployment benefits without having a way to pay for it. (more debt, thanks to the Dem's).

Just this week, they passed the START treaty, only to have the Russians hold off in order to more closely inspect the terms of the treaty. Again, nice Job Dem's for passing legislation without even reading or debating it.

Jan, 6th will be a happy day as the Dem's trifecta majority will be officially broken.

If it's yellow, let it mellow, if it's brown flush it down

Too bad California voted Governor Moonbeam back in for a third go around. Meg Whitman could have used a snappy campaign slogan like the title.

Vote for Whitman, you've got a hit, man.
Vote for Brown and flush it all down!

Or something along those lines. Of course it is a little too late for those shenanigans and cute campaign slogans.

Soros: I Can’t Stop a Republican ‘Avalanche’

From the most liberal of "mainstream" newspapers comes this gem...

Soros: I Can’t Stop a Republican ‘Avalanche’
By SEWELL CHAN

George Soros, the billionaire financier who was an energetic Democratic donor in the last several election cycles but is sitting this one out, is not feeling optimistic about Democratic prospects.

“I made an exception getting involved in 2004,” Mr. Soros, 80, said in a brief interview Friday at a forum sponsored by the Bretton Woods Committee, which promotes understanding of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.

“And since I didn’t succeed in 2004, I remained engaged in 2006 and 2008. But I’m basically not a party man. I’d just been forced into that situation by what I considered the excesses of the Bush administration.”

Mr. Soros, a champion of liberal causes, has been directing his money to groups that work on health care and the environment, rather than electoral politics. Asked if the prospect of Republican control of one or both houses of Congress concerned him, he said: “It does, because I think they are pushing the wrong policies, but I’m not in a position to stop it. I don’t believe in standing in the way of an avalanche.”

-------------------------------------

And the Democrats have the gall to ask if the National Chamber of Commerce is receiving foreign funds to support Republicans! Everyone knows full well George Soros is funnelling money into the Democrat Party. He isn't blowing all his money on a lost cause this time, but he has spent some money on it! Keep in mind that George Soros is NOT really an American citizen in thought, but a foreign national (Hungarian by birth) who says he is a hyphenated Hungarian-American.

California politics

Like it or not, Jerry "Moonbeam" Brown won't win a third trip around as California's governor, nor should he. The voters of California will make sure of that.

Try as he might with smear tactics, manipulating a not so innocent illegal alien former maid of Meg Whitman by way of the ever over the top Gloria Allred through covert contacts, he will still not win. His case is so flimsy that it unraveled before Ms Allred was finished with her first of several high profile news conferences.

Meanwhile, former governor "Moonbeam" Jerry has jumped into the fire from the frying pan with a laughably pathetic reference to Meg Whitman as a "whore". Jerry should well know that all politicians are indeed 'whores', including himself. So the "whore" remark really shouldn't have caused much in the way pf political hay. Jerry implicitly made it clear he doesn't understand the technology of a speaker phone; when you are finished with the message make sure you really did hang up the phone!

Waiting for November 2

Oh, what a change we'll see come Nov second!
The Democrats will lose the House and Senate
Alas, the country will still be stuck with Obama.

With the most liberal president soon to preside with
a most conservative congress
it is doubtful that anything meaningful will get done.

Congress will pass , and Obama will veto.....
And our great nation will still suffer
the absolute folly of the Democrat Party
once run by Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi.

Oh, what a pair of scoundrels they were!
Too bad they were elected in the first place.

What does "Democrat" really mean?

Democrat. The word should imply democracy, its fundamentals and ideologies. In reality it conjures up an image of wealthy liberal, progressive, socialist, blanket amnesty for illegals, back room deal making, Chicago thuggery and a host of other rather negative images.
How is it then that the Democrat Party fashioned an image of being the Party of the poor and oppressed? This being the same Democrat Party that embraced the KKK, supported the institution of slavery at the time of the Civil War (against the Republican president Lincon). Somewhere in the civil rights campaigns of the 1960's they managed to bamboozle enough minorities intop believing that they (the Democrats) were fighting for the minorities. In fact the Democrats were fighting for the minorities votes, the rights of minorities were a secondary byproduct. So long as there was a solid minority voting bloc supporting the Democrats, there was tacit support. However, over the next 50 years, it has transpired that the Democrats have done little to raise the economic status of those minorities, in favor of stringing them along to continue the voter base so desperately needed by a political party that wants to rewrite the Constitution of the United States to follow a more socialist agenda.

GOP is the Party of the Rich and Democrats are the Party of the poor

Of course this is how the Democrats wish to portray the GOP. Unfortunately for most poor Democrats, the Democrat Party really is the party of the poor, especially when it comes to keeping them poor. Democrat Party ideology seems particulary drawn to maintaining various social status quos vis a vis "rich" and "poor". What most registered Democrats of the rank and file don't realise, is that thier party (that of the KKK in the 1920's)is still that same party, only repackaged to appear sympathetic to the various minorities they wish to retain as vote fodder.

The GOP on the other hand doesn't cater to the poor by always giving a handout while keeping the status quo. Ideologically the GOP would rather everyone be able to become rich through thier own means withou government handouts, which merely create dependencies.

Obama vs America

http://corner.nationalreview.com/post/?q=NjkzMmNjMjIxMjIxYWNmODA0OGI3ZTU5MmIyZGUyMjg=

It will be interesting to see the outcome of U.S. vs Arizona.

If Arizona loses, it will be painfully clear that the Federal government does not want closed borders and openly supports illegal activity against its own citizenry.

If Arizona wins it will clearly show that the U.S. Federal government has no desire to support border states in maintaining border security and essentially de facto supporting illegal activity agianst the citizens of the US.

Obama is like an Atheist......

Both Obama and atheists need a foil, someone who can be their nemesis.

Obama needs former pres George Bush to blame for all the current administration's failings. Without Bush, he has no one to deflect his shortcomings upon. In the case of the atheist, without God there can be no atheism, the belief that there is no God. If there were no God, what would an atheist be? a believer in nothingness? Since to believers, God alway is, there will also be athiests. For Obama, he has to rely on man rather than God for his excuses.

Eventually Obama must come to a point of taking responsibility for his own actions(or inaction) and stop blaming his predecessor, George Bush.

Piolín bumper stickers

Just as I thought, those cars we see driving erratically on the roads with the "Piolín" bumper stickers are more likely to be "undocumented" persons (illegal is usually the term for not having documents while residing in a foreign country).

From wikipedia:

In 2005 Sotelo gave undocumented immigrant supporters four hours on his program.[3] His support of the undocumented immigrant protests in 2006 is often credited as the main reason for their enormous turnout, even though many other media personalities helped to make it. He has explained that his own experience of crossing the border illegally and living in the United States as an undocumented immigrant helped him identify with the situation. He is now residing legally in the United States where he encourages peaceful political activism for immigration reform.

In Arizona, this should make spotting illegals rather easy.

Social Justice a la liberalism...

Liberals see social justice as forced redistribution of wealth rather than charitable contribution of wealth. Watch the video, it's worth it.

Like a braying donkey, Nancy Pelosi laughs at what is left of America!

Liberals have always failed at math

Liberals who like to say "the government will pay for it" have no clue as to how money really works. To them "Government" is a disembodied ATM that perpetually gives out money with any real consequence to the society at large or even to themselves as individuals living in that same society. I would gather that most liberals view themselves as "entitled" both is receiving that which was never theirs, and in giving "redistribution" of that which was also never theirs. Liberalism is about one thing, control of everyone else. The liberal doesn't see themselves as being the police, rather it is "they" who police for them.

The most profound thing to come out of this unconstitutional power grab of a 'health care' bill, is that the liberals who were anti-establishment are themselves now the very establishment they would have fought against as naive, innocent, peacniks of the 1960's.

This is so simple

Democrat = baby killer

And thy name shall be Bart Stooopack

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2010/03/22/stupak_admits_obama_could_reverse_decision_on_abortion_executive_order.html

So much for ProLife Democrats having a spine. Bart Stupak could have stopped the disasterous health care bill, but no, he stooped to the arm twisting of the Chicago mob that runs the White House.

This really will be a test of the American people.
Democrats have run roughshod over democracy.

Stupak deserves to be thrown out of office with the rest of the Democrats for being so naive, guillable, and yes, stupid.http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2010/03/22/stupak_admits_obama_could_reverse_decision_on_abortion_executive_order.html

Health care reform or constitutional destruction?

http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/blogs/beltway-confidential/Rules-Committee-meeting-descends-into-chaos-88725962.html

Seems that our "esteemed" Democraps can't even run a rules committee of their OWN party without descending into utter chaos! Any Democrat who votes YES on this "reform" bill will be out of office come the second Wednesday of November 2010. Any Democrat who votes NO will likely be out of office by November 2010 because the Uber Democrat Party wil not support them financially or in campaign efforts.

Either way, the Democrats have screwed themselves and are about to leave with a parting suicide pact that will screw America for generations as the Democrats final solution and legacy.

Massachusett's latest liberal candidate

While it is harder to find links regarder Martha Coakley's hypocritical Catholicism, it is very easy to find two words that should have barred her from being a viable candidate:

Falls Acres
http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=34772

on the otherside are the ardent supporters who feel that she is "middle of the road"
http://www.capecodtoday.com/blogs/index.php/2010/01/05/we-endorse-martha-coakley-for-the-united?blog=69

"She has a long record of middle of the road wisdom, and is precisely what our state needs after a half century of flawed hero worship."

Perhaps the writer is thinking of the half century of flawed hero worship of the Kennedys.

Democrats Abandon "hope" for Bipartisanship on Healthcare

To make sure that this bit of flawed and increasingly unconstitutional legislation becomes law, our congress is becoming decidedly partisan and secretive:http://www.usnews.com/blogs/peter-ro...html#read_more .

"Despite their claims to the contrary, the way that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid
have handled the healthcare bill has been anything but transparent. And, if the left-wing blogosphere is to be believed, the two congressional leaders intend to keep the deliberations secret as they try to merge the House and Senate versions of the legislation into something that will pass both chambers.
"

Obviously they have abandoned any thought of "bipartisanship" in their zeal to pass this 3000 page bill.
