Now, after two months of an ever increasing five ring circus, "they" have decided to actually occupy Wall Street rather than a private park in front of Wall Street. While NY Mayor Bloomberg (yes, of Bloomberg financial fortune) supports the Occupy Wall Street (OWS) folks, I don't think the operators of the New York Stock Exchange will be quite so welcoming.
As it is, OWS protesters should have figured out by now that they are nothing more than a distraction for a failing administration to operate behind.

You built a factory out there? Good for you. But I want to be clear. You moved your goods to market on the roads the rest of us paid for. You hired workers the rest of us paid to educate. You were safe in your factory because of police-forces and fire-forces that the rest of us paid for. You didn't have to worry that marauding bands would come and seize everything at your factory -- and hire someone to protect against this -- because of the work the rest of us did.
Now look, you built a factory and it turned into something terrific, or a great idea. God bless -- keep a big hunk of it. But part of the underlying social contract is, you take a hunk of that and pay forward for the next kid who comes along.""
With that astoundingly stupid comment, Elizabeth Warren, an obviously liberal (read Democrat) candidate for the US Senate from Massachusetts- the ultimate land of East coast liberals- steps into the theatre of absurdity.
A factory moved it's goods to markets on roads paid for by "the rest of us". Of whom is she talking about? Us taxpayers or "the rest of us", which I would deduce in liberal-speak means those on the government dole or who work for -employed by- the"government" (which get all of it's working capital from the true "rest of us"the taxpayers.
I work in a factory. I drive on those same roads that the goods my factory produces are delivered on. I pay taxes. The company I work for pays taxes. The owner of the company pays taxes.
I was educated mostly through public education, a choice I was not legally able to make, being a minor at the time. Now, being an adult, married, but with no children, I pay taxes for other people's children to attend public schools. Is that fair? not really. Do I have a choice? again, NO.
Ms Warren's statement stipulates that corporations unfairly have access to the use of public roadways. What she, and most liberals fail to understand is that the corporations, large and small that employ people create wealth through that same employment. By the act of employing someone, there are employment TAXES paid by the employer. Those taxes go into the public fund which is set up for infrastructure, which helps everyone, including the corporation that produces good that are shipped to market on those very same roads Ms. Warren states were only there but for the work of "the rest of us".
Ms Warren's own statement on class warfare can be used directly against her. She, like so many other politicians does not create wealth. Yes, she employs people who work for her, but they are paid for with public (tax) money, not her own corporate earnings. SInce she doesn't contribute to the economic growth and public funding -as she is insinuating corporations do not do- she herself should not be allowed to use the public roads either!

Obama has made it quite clear and official that the social security funds aren't there and haven't been for decades, Again thanks to reckless Democrat budgets over that time period. He uses them as a weapon in his desperate bid for an increase in the maxed out credit card limit known as the US Treasury.
To put it quite simply, the debt limit increase is congress voting itself a new line of credit to pay off the debts on the previous lines of credit. In layman's terms: if your credit cards are all maxed out and you are making minimum payments just to keep above water and open a new credit card to pay down the other credit cards, it is only a very short time before the new credit card is maxed out and you are back to the same position, only with even more debt to your name.
By capping the credit limit and reducing the spending, more money is freed up to pay the debts. Yes it will take some time to reach a zero balance, but it does really happen that way.

Obie Wan was never the shining knight rescuing a fallen nation. Rather, he was in fact the dark lord, seeking to corrupt any who saw the truth before they might come to believe in the truth.
Obie Wan dared to say the he was the truth, and his followers believed him, chanting "Yes We Can!" while hoping for a change they knew little to nothing the substance of.

The original idea of a free press will soon become an oxymoron if the left continues it's present path.
"Documents made public yesterday by Judicial Watch describe extensive collusion by Federal Communications Commission officials with a left-wing advocacy group in a campaign to expand government regulation of the Internet."
"Free Press is the most vocal of a number of far-left and liberal advocacy groups that for nearly a decade have pushed numerous proposals for vastly increasing government regulation of the Internet."
Just look at the board member bios to see how stacked to the left they are! Here.
"Free Press was co-founded by Monthly Review editor Robert McChesney and the Nation contributor John Nichols. The Monthly Review is "an independent Marxist journal," while the Nation has long described itself as "the flagship of the left." Free Press is partially funded by George Soros' Open Society Institute."Their idea of a "free press' for the internet is STRICT CONTROL over content rather than true freedom. Like most radical leftist organisations they proclaim freedom from the tyranny of oppression while foisting greater oppression upon the populace.
"Moody's Investors Service said Thursday there is a very small but rising risk of a short-lived default by the United States if there is no increase in the statutory debt limit in coming weeks."
Put simply, Moody's feels we as a country should "spend our way out of debt" rather than be good stewards and reduce our spending.
Note that the sentence above said "short lived default", as in we default for a short ime while the spending drops to more appropriate levels. Presumably by that time the creditworthiness would again RISE, improving the credit rating. If it were only so easy. Since Moody's is playing the threat game to get GOP House members to go along with Obama's answer to rising debt.
It is very apparent that Moody's is FAR from being an independent investor credit rating service and is really now become another bought and paid for arm of the most corrupt federal government in all of US history.

How will Chris Matthew's leg tingle when he sees Obama lay a wreath to the destruction of Osama?
Personally I think they found him.
It just seems to counter-intuitive that they (the WH) wouldn't release photos. This current government is so deeply "politically correct" (PC) that they cannot come to terms with their own actions, essentially denying that they did a great service to the world in order to feign political correctness, the ultimate talking point of the PC Democrat Party.

Every day we hear or read something new about how devastating "Obamacare" will be for this country. Remember that without a willing Democrat Party, Obamacare could not exist. The Democrat Party in psuhing for and signing off on Obamacare has made their pact with the devil and will soon find that the devil plays very unfair with those he makes deals with. Those Democrats who believed they were doing the "right" thing for America are finding out that America now hates them (the Democrat Party) for the despicable lie that has come to be known as "Obamacare".
I must confess that after an interesting discussion this evening, that the American Socialist Revoultion has already come upon us since November 2008. Without immediate course change, America is marching willingly by all accounts, toward full fledged Socialism. Much like Germany embraced the National Socialists, America is embracing the much more subtle Democratic Party of Socialism. The Democrat(ic) Party is hardly a democracy in the original sense of the word and mostly an official party supporting the Socialist agenda.

The Democrats had their chance last October to pass a budget with essentially zero resistance. Instead, they opted to play politics and spend their efforts on re-electing themselves (and losing) rather than their elected duty to the country.
Republicans are worried that Democrats will try to pin blame on this budget on them. Fear not. The Democrats will ALWAYS try to blame Republicans for anything they can anyway!
Hold fast, hold your ground. Force the Democrats to finally eat the s**t they made out of the budget process.

For a candidate who campaigned on transparency and responsiveness in "government", Pres Obama has to be the lamest president elected since George Washington. To call him the "man child" is to elevate him to the rank of a semi-leader. He has absconded any minuscule vestige of being a real "leader". Each new crisis shows his "leadership" to be merely quaint puffery.

(CNSNews.com) - When asked today whether he thought the resignation of National Public Radio CEO Vivian Schiller was a good move, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) said that House Republicans will “proceed” with defunding NPR.
“The statements were that NPR realizes it doesn’t need taxpayer funding. That's what the statement was about," Cantor said at a news availability following a meeting of the House Republican Conference. "So perhaps the truth finally came out and we are going to proceed along those lines because that’s what was said and indicated by that organization."
IT'S ABOUT TIME!!!!
The cloak of "fair and balanced" has been lifted to reveal the truth- left, liberal and highly biased.
After all... he has made considerably more money from his propagandist films than I have made being a hard working blue collar worker. Wasn't he supposed to be the champion of the blue collar worker? I guess too many french fries have gone to his head. Now that he has made some real money from his propogandising, he is currently suing his last film producer for another $2million in "royalties" he feels he is owed. What happened to giving away YOUR money, Mr Moore? I see, we are only to do what yOU say and pay no attention to what you DO.
If you think the Wisconsin collective bargaining episode is war, what do you think your precious Democrat Party's ramrodding of 'Obamacare' in the middle of the night was to the rest of Conservative America? Oh, right. Liberal views are always correct, while us conservatives have no right to exist...

Talk about literal dereliction of duty! actually walking out rather than standing tall. Why would anyone want to be a Democrat after this fiasco?
At least the Republican minority in the US House and Senate stayed, knowing they couldn't stop the runaway Democrats. When the tables were turned, the Dems got scared and ran away. True cowards, those 14 Democrat Wisconsin Senators!

The truth may be stranger than fictitious conspiracy theories.
The "uprising" is being well orchestrated by Al Quaeda. It is being well disguised by the deliberate inaction of our own government. The fall of Egypt as a "friend" of the US will have seriously bad consequences for Israel. The fragile "peace" that Pres Carter forged will be undone, without it appearing that the US government sanctioned it.
Here is how the not so mainstream pundits see things:

We already know that Obama will be a one term president, even though he plans on spending a large chunk of money equal to about 5% of California's budget deficit on what will be a failed re-election campaign. if he doesn't believe that the candidate who spends the most money can lose, he needs to talk to Meg Whitman, who lost a California governor bid after spending over $140 Million!
That our US senate is still out of touch needen't be a surprise. They have been out of touch for the past 50 years, regardless of majority party affiliation, thanks largely to RINO's abdicating any sense of conservative values just to stay in office.
