Now the Senate Turns to Forced Abortion Coverage
Today the Senate plan is $849B, by next Monday I'd guess the cost estimates will be in the Trillion$ range again.
The Democrat party has sold it's soul to the devil. Even the Senate bill has language promoting government funded abortion! All it takes is 60 mortal individuals in the Senate to vote yes on this travesty to shackle millions with a mandatory tax/fee/surcharge/premium that will fund abortions with taxpayer money. In essence, our government will officially be in the dirty business of abortion by the mandate of a handful of people who don't care about life or of those who do care about life.
60 individuals out of a population of 300 million!
If one looks at the numbers, the costs all rise. the House plan requires $15000/year which comes to $1250/mo. Obvioulsy the minimum wage earner cant' afford that, so they can apply for a subsidy. Where does the money come from? The overpriced policy that the middle class income earner pays. 1/2 of the middle class earners premium actually goes to paying for the minimum wage earner who can't afford to pay the mandatory premium otherwise. Forced servitude on the lwer and middle class, with a "luxury" premium tax thrown at the "rich" to make the brew palpable to the brainwashed masses.

Joe Legal vs Jose Illegal and health care "reform"
It is not my material, but sure does sum up what is going on in our welfare/entitlement society!
Joe Legal vs. Jose Illegal
You have 2 families, Joe Legal and Jose Illegal. Both families have 2 parents, 2 children and live in California .
Joe Legal works in construction, has a Social Security Number, and makes $25.00 per hour with payroll taxes deducted.
Jose Illegal also works in construction, has NO Social Security Number, and gets paid $15.00 cash "under the table."
Joe Legal ...$25.00 per hour x 40 hours =$1000.00 per week =$52,000 per year. Now take 30% away for state and federal tax. Joe Legal now has $31,231.00.
Jose Illegal ...$15.00 per hour x 40 hours =$600.00 per week =$31,200.00 per year. Jose Illegal pays no taxes. Jose Illegal now has $31,200.00.
Joe Legal pays for Medical and Dental Insurance with limited coverage ...$1000.00 per month =$12,000.00 per year. Joe Legal now has $19,231.00..
Jose Illegal has full Medical and Dental coverage through the state and local clinics at a cost of $0.00 per year. Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00.
Joe Legal makes too much money to be eligible for Food Stamps or Welfare so Joe Legal pays for food...$1,000.00 per month =$12,000.00 per year. Joe Legal now has $7,231.00.
Jose Illegal has no documented income and is eligible for Food Stamps and Welfare. Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00.
Joe Legal pays rent of $1,000.00 per month =$12,000.00 per year.
Joe Legal is now in the hole -$4,769.00.
Jose Illegal receives a $500 per month Federal rent subsidy, which entirely pays his rent of $500.00 per month =$6,000.00 per year.
Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00.
Joe Legal now works overtime on Saturdays and gets a part time job after work to make ends meet.
Jose Illegal has nights and weekends off to enjoy with his family.
Joe Legal's and Jose Illegal's children both attend the same school.
Joe Legal pays for his children's lunches while Jose Illegal's children get free government sponsored lunches.
Joe Legal's children go home after school. Jose Illegal's children have an after school ESL program which, again, is provided free of charge.
Joe Legal and Jose Illegal both enjoy the same Police and Fire Services, but Joe Legal paid for them, and Jose Illegal did not pay.
ARE YOU MAD YET?

that they would hate to have to live under the laws they've passed.

liberal equality is a myth
[quote]The effort to create equality can lead to all kinds of unintended consequences. [/quote]
my response:
in liberalism, everybody is equal, nobody is better than anybody else, there is no reason to strive for excellence since everybody is already equal...
what a bland world. no geniuses, no bach, stradivarious, farnsworth or tesla. only bland, state controlled, innovation on a far less stellar scale. even no capital letters, lest they be deemed better than the lower case, or worse, suggest that there is an inequality to our existence.
while equality is a noble virtue, it is utter folly to mold people into such bland equality by any means. true equality in human terms is unattainable, since we are all unique.

JCT Confirms Failure to Comply with Democrats’ Mandate Can Lead to 5 Years in Jail
Washington, Nov 6 -
Today, Ranking Member of the House Ways and Means Committee Dave Camp (R-MI) released a letter from the non-partisan Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT) confirming that the failure to comply with the individual mandate to buy health insurance contained in the Pelosi health care bill (H.R. 3962, as amended) could land people in jail. The JCT letter makes clear that Americans who do not maintain “acceptable health insurance coverage” and who choose not to pay the bill’s new individual mandate tax (generally 2.5% of income), are subject to numerous civil and criminal penalties, including criminal fines of up to $250,000 and imprisonment of up to five years. In response to the JCT letter, Camp said: “This is the ultimate example of the Democrats’ command-and-control style of governing – buy what we tell you or go to jail. It is outrageous and it should be stopped immediately.” Key excerpts from the JCT letter appear below: “H.R. 3962 provides that an individual (or a husband and wife in the case of a joint return) who does not, at any time during the taxable year, maintain acceptable health insurance coverage for himself or herself and each of his or her qualifying children is subject to an additional tax.” [page 1] “If the government determines that the taxpayer’s unpaid tax liability results from willful behavior, the following penalties could apply…” [page 2] “Criminal penalties Prosecution is authorized under the Code for a variety of offenses. Depending on the level of the noncompliance, the following penalties could apply to an individual: • Section 7203 – misdemeanor willful failure to pay is punishable by a fine of up to $25,000 and/or imprisonment of up to one year. • Section 7201 – felony willful evasion is punishable by a fine of up to $250,000 and/or imprisonment of up to five years.” [page 3] When confronted with this same issue during its consideration of a similar individual mandate tax, the Senate Finance Committee worked on a bipartisan basis to include language in its bill that shielded Americans from civil and criminal penalties. The Pelosi bill, however, contains no similar language protecting American citizens from civil and criminal tax penalties that could include a $250,000 fine and five years in jail. “The Senate Finance Committee had the good sense to eliminate the extreme penalty of incarceration. Speaker Pelosi’s decision to leave in the jail time provision is a threat to every family who cannot afford the $15,000 premium her plan creates. Fortunately, Republicans have an alternative that will lower health insurance costs without raising taxes or cutting Medicare,” said Camp. According to the Congressional Budget Office the lowest cost family non-group plan under the Speaker’s bill would cost $15,000 in 2016.

Wow! Gotta hand it to those peacful, lovey-dovey, liberal Democrats to write legislation that is harsher than anything the Republicans have EVER tried to pass.
Buy their insurance (minimum of $15000 [$1250 per month]) or go to jail and pay a $250,000 fine!!! Yikes a $250,000 fine is equivalent to 16.66 years of MANDATORY health care at $15000 per year.
To put it into perspective a good plan that covers my Wife and I costs around $550 per month right now. This 'plan' would increase that amount by 227% per month. This is health care reform? What are they smoking, grass clippings from the White House lawn?

Perhaps, with the Democrats in power, we are a doomed nation
They don't seem to care that future generations and the current generation will not be able to pay for it.
The Dems don't really care about the poor, under insured folks; they only want to BUY their future votes with government handouts.
The Dems don't care about the middle class that they will destroy in paying for this boondoggle. The Dems don't care about the 'rich' that they will tax into poverty to pay for this $1.2 Trillion tax on the economy.
The Dems just don't care about anyone except for themselves. They have always been that way since the Civil War. It was a Republican who sought to end slavery. In the Great Depression it was Democrat policies that kept America languishing in economic despair. It is the Democrat Party that has been fully infiltrated with Communists since the 1920's.
The poster child for the health care bill is "botox" Nancy Pelosi:
